Our Story
The Thornton family has a long tradition of growing candy canes at Christmas time thanks to their Aunt Opal. Every holdiay season she "grew" a candy cane from peppermint seeds. Our weekly visits were so special as each week the seeds sprouted into a small peppermint candy cane. Once Christmas finally arrived, it was fully grown into a large candy cane which we "picked" with delight.
We are sharing Herbie the Husky from Candy Cane Lane in honor of our father , Herbert, and Aunt Opal.

Our mission at Herbiethehusky.com is to create a world where children are encouraged to learn through play. We are sharing our family tradition with your family with hopes you can enjoy reading Herbie's story and growing your very own candy cane.
